Listen to me, when someone loves you, acknowledge that.

 Acknowledge that they’ve said it, even if you can’t say it back, even if you haven’t learned how to yet. It is such a big deal to put yourself constantly on the line for someone like that. It’s like lying down naked and saying “hello, this is me, I am here for you and I’ll adore you however you are.” 

Try not to forget how much it means and how much it hurts when that openness is met with silence or frost or disinterest.
The thing with people who are prepared to love you unconditionally is that they’ll keep going and going and going until it wrings them out. 
You might adore someone deeply but if they don’t hear it they’ll forget that it’s there and that it’s real.
